Bristol Police reported the following accident yesterday.

On 7/21/21 around 5:46 P.M. a motor vehicle accident occurred on Peck Lane at its intersection with Miller Road within the City of Bristol.

This accident involved a motorcycle and another vehicle traveling in opposing lanes on Peck Lane. The motorcycle and vehicle collided within the intersection of Peck Lane and Miller Road.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered life threatening injuries.

Officers arrived on scene, treating the motorcyclist for his injuries, and Life Star transported the motorcyclist to Hartford Hospital.

The motorcyclist, later identified as Michael A. Genovese Jr. (D.O.B. 5/13/85), was pronounced dead a short time after arrival to the hospital.

The Bristol Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (S.T.A.R.T) was called to investigate the accident.
