Bristol Eastern boys soccer defeats New Britain

Bristol Eastern’s Dom Femiak scored all three goals in the Lancers’ 3-0 victory over New Britain Thursday afternoon.         

Femiak’s first goal was an individual effort, as he beat two defenders and Hurricane goalie Max Szczepanik 20:02 into the first period. 

Femiak’s second goal came as Tyler Borry sent him a ball at the edge of the penalty area that he drilled into the New Britain goal at 21:32 of the first period.     

“We kept the pressure on New Britain and were able to gain solid penetration,” said Lancer coach Bill Sweet.  “Dom was outstanding today and our back four were solid.”       

Femiak’s third goal was the result of a combination of passes from Brandon Greger to Martin Wuesthoff, who sent a through ball to Femiak who scored at 32:20 of the second period. 

Eastern’s record is now 2-1-2 and New Britain falls to 0-4-2 . 

Lancer goalie Nate DiLoreto made 5 saves while Max Szczepanik made 14 saves for New Britain.

Eastern hosts Bristol Central  Tuesday afternoon, October 20.
