Bristol Sports Hall of Fame will present ’70’s Sports Reunion’ Wednesday night at the Bristol Historical Society

The Bristol Sports Hall of Fame will present their annual community program on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Bristol Historical Society.

The program this year will be “1970’s High School Sports Reunion.” Panelists will include Gail Ericson and Pete Losey from Bristol Eastern, Ed Swicklas and Joe DeFillippi from Bristol Central, and Frank Owsianko Jr. and Dave Pecevich from St. Paul. The program will include memories and anecdotes from that time, and members of the audience are encouraged to bring their own stories to add to the discussion.

This is a free program and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Beer and wine as well as other refreshments will be served.

Guests are invited to bring Bristol sports memorabilia to the event that they are willing to donate to the Hall of Fame for their collection.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
