BE boys start fast and never look back in beating Plainville 83-52

BRISTOL – The Bristol Eastern boys basketball team charged out to a 17-0 lead against Plainville on Monday night, eventually posting an 83-52 CCC South victory in Bristol.

The 83 points were a season high by the program, led by 19 points apiece from Lukas Sward and Jordan Chisholm.

Brayden Dauphinais added 13 for the Lancers, now 10-3 overall.

Plainville (7-7) got 11 points from Brady Wieczorek but the squad never made it back from the early double-digit deficit.

Eastern led 23-5 after one period of play and a bucket by Sward with 3:58 left before the half gave the home team a sizable 34-11 edge.

“We been talking about making the extra pass in practice, getting everybody involved,” Eastern coach Bunty Ray said. “You see all the weapons we have on the floor. We’re very tough to guard.”

The Lancers led 39-17 at the break, cruised to a 57-35 advantage after three and posted 26 fourth period points to ice the game by thirty-two points.

Eastern is back in action on Friday night at Rocky Hill High School.
