Stephanie L. Dube

Stephanie L. Dube, 98, of Bristol, beloved wife of 64 years to the late William T. Dube, passed away on March 10. She was born on Dec. 13, 1923 in Pittsburg, Pa., daughter of the late John and Agatha Siwiak.

Stephanie moved to New Britain at an early age and graduated from New Britain High School and New Britain Hospital School of Nursing. She met her husband on a blind date and they married in 1946 and settled in Bristol. While in nursing school she worked at Bristol Hospital while raising her family.

After her retirement in1983, she took up golf, traveled with her husband,  enjoyed trips to the casino, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Stephanie is survived by her four children Christine Goudreau (Raymond) of Seymour, Claudia Finkenstein (William) of Plainville, Nancy Roman (Thomas) of Litchfield, Thomas Dube (Bonnie MacKellar) of New York; six grandchildren Zachary Finkenstein (Elka), Elisia Finkenstein, Gabriel Finkenstein (Amy), Malachi Dube, Elias Dube, Naomi Dube and seven great-grandchildren Bailey, Mia, Ethan, Toby, Nora, Adam and Sarah.

Besides her husband and parents, Stephanie is predeceased by her sister Ann Mazur. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 18, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol starting at 9:45 a.m. until a procession that will leave for St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
