Torrington builds 10-pt. lead through three quarters, holds on to beat St. Paul girls, 51-47

The St. Paul girls travelled to Torrington Friday night, and the Red Raiders stifled the Falcons’ offense for three quarters of the game, leading 37-27 after three periods.

The Falcons stormed back in the fourth quarter, scoring 20 in that final period. Unfortunately, the comeback came up just short as Torrington came away with a 51-47 victory in an NVL showdown.

Rebecca Kelly led the Falcons with 19 points, while Audrey Tice chipped in with 10.

Haley Burger led a balanced Torrington attack with 13.

St. Paul is now 5-4. The Falcons will stay on the road, traveling to Watertown on Tuesday for a 7:00 matchup.
