Diane B. Huber, 78

Diane B. Huber, 78, widow of Neal Russell Huber of Bristol, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 3. She was born on Sept. 23, 1943, in Bristol, the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Volungis) Burneika.

Diane was a retired Special Education Teacher of over 30 years for the Bristol Public School System and her caring personality touched hundreds of students’ lives. She and her husband loved to travel, spend time on the boat, and most importantly, spend time with their dog, Boo. Diane treasured time with her family and especially time with her grandkids. She loved to host the biggest Christmas Eve Dinner with a houseful of people. Diane was an extremely caring person who was giving to others until her passing.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen Ronzello and his wife, Lisa, of Farmington, Kevin Huber and his wife, Carrie, of Wolcott, David Huber of Cheshire and Andrew Zvonek; her grandchildren, Christopher and Tyler Ronzello of Farmington; McKenna, Abigail and Benjamin Huber of Wolcott; Tyler and his wife Whitney, Tiffany, and Tevin Reiff; her great-grandchildren Sophia and Baylor Reiff and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Diane was predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Nicoletti, Evelyn Kuziak and Janet Angers.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 8, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, from 8:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Gregory the Great Church, Maltby St., Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. and then to St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
