Donna Arlene (Davis) Lyons-Nieves, 43

Donna Arlene (Davis) Lyons-Nieves, 43, of Bristol, passed away on Sunday, May 21, after a series of illnesses. She was born on May 10, 1980, in Bristol, daughter of Justine L. (Chapman) Miner and the late Robert F. Davis, Jr. Donna was the loving wife of Reynaldo Nieves for 11 years.

Donna worked as a CNA for many years then returned to school to be a dialysis technician where she met her husband, the love of her life. A woman of many hobbies she had a particular love of crafts; where you could find beautiful things made by her hands. Donna was a kind soul and was always willing to be there for anyone, no matter the situation. Family meant everything to her, just as much as she meant to all of us.

Donna is survived by her children Brianna Thibeault and her fiancé Adam Cole of Bristol, Zackery and wife Kelly Lyons of Bristol, Tyna Lyons and her fiancé Sergio Ortiz Martinez of Plainville; stepdaughter Stephanie and her husband Hugo Mendez of Meriden; stepson Johnny and his wife Pam Nieves of Meriden; and three wonderful grandchildren: Christen, Sophia and Averly who were her world; step father Mitchell C. Miner of Bristol; grandmother Justine Ayrton; in-laws Flor and Bruce Hillocks of Wallingford, whom she thought the world of; brothers Daryl Davis and his wife Sarah of Bristol, Nolan Remillard and his fiance Heather of Bristol; sister Melissa Reek of Bristol; brother-in-law Michael James Nieves of Bristol and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her father, Donna is predeceased by her baby sister Kayla Miner.

Calling hours will be held at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol on Friday, May 26, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. when a service will begin.
