Bristol candidates for State Representative and State Senate seats were among the speakers at a women’s reproductive rights rally Wednesday evening held at Plainville Municipal Center.

Democratic candidate for State Senate district 31, Greg Hahn, and Democratic candidates for State Representative, Andrew Rasmussen-Tuller and Mary Fortier, districts 77 and 79, respectfully, were among the speakers who addressed about 100 people who joined the rally.

Also among the speakers were former Bristol mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu and the endorsed Democratic candidate for Secretary of State, Stephanie Thomas.

The rally was organized by Democratic Town Committee chairs from Southington, Erin Cowles, and Plainville, Rebecca Martinez, and a DTC member from Bristol, Kim Caron. Martinez is also the Democratic candidate for State Representative in the 22nd district.
