With 42 restaurants, 10 new ones, Taste of Bristol is kicking off its 13th fundraising campaign with the discount tickets available at 22 locations across the city.

“We are off to a rocking good start so far in 2024,” said West End Association vice president Jesse Jablon. “People really appreciate this promotion. And it’s very gratifying to see the positive feedback we get about it.”

The West End Association uses proceeds from the sale of the discount tickets to support its annual Rockwell Festival. The tickets are $5 a piece, and upon presenting a ticket at a participating restaurant, the bearer qualifies for a one-time 20 percent discount off the check during the promotion.

The discount does not apply to alcohol, tax, tip, parties over four, special orders and third-party orders online. The tickets are valid from March 1 to April 30.

“I think of 2023 as our rebound year from any let down over the pandemic,” Jablon said. “We broke our record for sales and people were genuinely excited to be out visiting restaurants again.”

This year’s 42 restaurants is another record, with several that have returned after taking a break during the pandemic years and 10 first timers, Jablon said.

“I love breaking all these record after 12 years,” Jablon said.

The new restaurants are as follows:

  • Bristol Scoops
  • Hambler’s Pizza
  • Mulligan’s Grille
  • Pho & Spice 2
  • RBI Cafe
  • Rich Farm Ice Cream
  • Robek’s Juice
  • Rooster’s Chicken and Waffles (probably won’t be open in time but they are on tickets)
  • Sofia’s Pizzeria
  • The Munch Box
  • The Sister’s Deli

Taste of Bristol purchasers are eligible for 30 raffle prizes, ranging in value from $10 to $75, Jablon said. Each of the prizes has been donated by participating restaurants. Entries must be received by April 20. The drawing will be held on or about April 30.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
