Bristol police make major drug arrest

The Bristol Police Department has reported that on Thursday, November 4, at 11:49 a.m., detectives assigned to the Bristol Police Department Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET), conducted a motor vehicle stop.

The vehicle was operated by Jose Pizarro, 35, of 91 Davis Drive; Bristol. The passenger in the vehicle was Edgardo Lugo-Serrano, 39, of 83 Bartholomew Street, #2; Bristol.

Subsequent to the investigation, 7.5 grams of crack cocaine and 70 bags of Fentanyl were seized. A total of $10,456.00 was seized as profits from drug sales.

Mr. Pizarro was arrested and charged with the following:
Possession of Narcotics (21a-279(a)(1), (2 counts), Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, 21a-279a(1A+), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 21a-267(a), Failure to Display front license plate, 14-18(a).

Mr. Lugo-Serrano was arrested and charged with the following violations of Connecticut General Statutes:
Possession of a Controlled Substance, 21a-279(a)(1).


Pizarro was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond. Lugo-Serrano was released on a $5000 non- surety bond. Both are scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on November 18 to answer to the charges.

Further, Lugo-Serrano had five outstanding BPD arrest warrants for Larceny 6th degree (53a- 125b), as well as one outstanding BPD arrest warrant for Assault 3rd degree (53a-61) and Breach of Peace 2nd degree (53a-181). All warrants were served.
