Fernand Champagne

Fernand Champagne, 79, of Bristol, passed away,  Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Village Green of Bristol. He was the husband of Nancy (Marrocco) Champagne. 

Fernand was born in Lewiston, Maine, on June 9, 1942, a son of the late Leo and Jean (Morin) Champagne.

He served in the United States Army and was employed at Plymouth Board of Education for 21 years retiring over 22 years ago. He loved to build birds houses and listen to country music. He enjoyed traveling around the U.S. 

Besides his wife, he is  survived by two sons, Ronald Champagne of Maine and Joey Champagne of Conn.; two daughters, Kim Champagne of Conn. and Lyssa Alger of Fla.; two brothers, James and Paul Champagne both from Maine; 12 grandchildren: Jordon, Crystal, Joshua, Amanda, Reginald, Alex, Max, Felicia, Bailey, Tony, Sarah and Jonathon; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a son, David Houde; a daughter, Judy Emery; and a grandson, Mark Houde.   

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 11 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home 191 West St. Bristol. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Military honors will follow the service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
