Debra ‘Deb’ A. Bachman, 62

Debra “Deb” A. Bachman, 62, of Bristol, passed away on the morning of Thursday, Nov. 2, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 1, 1961, the daughter of the late Patrick Sr. and Barbara (Brown) Napolitano, Deb was the best friend and wife of her husband Christopher Bachman for 40 years.

Deb worked for over 30 years in the insurance field, retiring as a senior underwriter from the Hartford. An avid cook and the consummate hostess, Deb loved her vacations at Sebago Lake in Maine and was happiest anywhere there was a beach.

Besides her husband, Deb is survived by her son Brett Bachman of Massachusetts; her brother Patrick Napolitano, Jr. and his wife Maria of South Carolina; her other sister Sandy and her husband Shaun McCauley of Burlington; nieces Chelsea Hoyes and her husband Chris of South Carolina, Isabella Bachman of Massachusetts, Mallory Ridley of North Haven, and Kadie Bachman of Stafford Springs; nephew Brandon Napolitano and his wife Sara of South Carolina; her brothers- and sisters-in law Lynn and Judy Bachman of Massachusetts, Tim and Sandy Bachman of Bristol, and Lisa and Rene Boucher of Branford; and friends and colleagues too numerous to name.

Besides her parents, Deb is predeceased by her son Mitchell Bachman.

A special thanks to Dr. Patricia Defusco and nurse Jen at The Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute of Avon, and all of the nurses of the H.H.C. Hospice Team.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, Novj. 7, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Deb’s son Mitchell to Shatterproof, at Shatterproof.org.
