NEW BRITAIN – The Bristol Eastern boys track and field team made a credible 16th place finish at the Class MM championships from Willow Brook Park in New Britain on Thursday.

And several boys from the Lancers’ program are advancing on to the State Open event.

The Kingstreeters roped up 14 total points over a very competitive field of teams and programs.

Eastern’s 4×800 meter relay squad will be going to the State Open event as the combination of Logan Crowley, Jack Mulcunry, Dominic Tartarelli, and Carter Harris finished in 8:20.35 over a tremendous showing.

But Crowley wasn’t finished as he nabbed fifth place in the grueling 3200 meters, roping up a time of 9:49.48 to also continue on to the postseason.

In the 400 meters, Harris placed sixth in 52.19 seconds while Mulcunry (52.40 seconds) was one spot behind over a very good finish.

Windsor won the Class MM championship behind 91 points, Daniel Hand (70) was the runner-up while Jonathan Law (65) came in third.

The 2022 CIAC State Open Championship commences on Monday, June 6 from Willow Brook Park in New Britain.
