Good morning, Bristol!

Hello Bristol, welcome to Friday and queue the band.

Weather

Nothing to write home about, 50 for the daytime high and overcast. Rain later in the day.

What’s new in baseball

Other than the pitch clock and an increase to the size of the bases, teams can now add advertising patches on their uniforms. Depending on whether the player hits right-handed or left-handed and which side gets more camera time will dictate which side the patch is on.

Great, just what we need, more advertising.

That foul ball brought you by Farmer Frank’s Sausage.

This called third brought to you by Not my Fault Insurance.

This umpire argument brought to you by the law firm of Caminiti, Hayes and the other Hayes.

How much?

According to a non-profit national commodity promotion and research organization, Americans consume approximately 14 billion quarts of popcorn every year.

Headaches

The most common cause of a headache is

  • Stress
  • Emotional distress
  • Infections

Right now, the staff of the GMB has a big giant headache.

See ya, Skippy

Is that a real poncho, I mean,
Is that a Mexican poncho or is that a Sears poncho?
Hmmm, no fooling.

See ya, Bristol.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
