Deanna (Urban) Savino, 85

Deanna (Urban) Savino, 85, of Bristol, widow of CSM Ret. Anthony V. Savino, Sr., died peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 28, at her home as was her wish.

Deanna was born May 18, 1938, in Naugatuck and was the eldest of three children of the late Charles and Ann (Poscavage) Urban.

She was raised in Naugatuck and graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1956. She married Tony in 1959 and they moved to Bristol. Deanna briefly worked for New Departure and Pratt & Whitney prior to raising her family. She enjoyed home decorating, crafts, shopping, spending time with friends and doting on her grandchildren.

Deanna is survived by her two children: Cathy A. Savino and Anthony Savino, Jr. and his wife Rebecca, her treasured grandchildren: Elise and Olivia Savino; her sister Charlotte Musnicki and brother Charles Urban both of North Carolina; along with many precious cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be especially missed by her most cherished friends, Al and Rita Pinchera, Dee Booth, Dee Patrissi, Ed and Cindy Rivera and so many others that she befriended during her lifetime. The family would like to recognize the magnificent support Dee received from the Bristol Health Home Care and Hospice team along with her amazing caregivers: Leonor and Madou who provided loving and compassionate care over the last two months.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at 10AM at St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Ave, Bristol. There are no calling hours.
