1st concert in summer series draws hundreds to Rockwell amphitheater

Several hundred people came out for the first in the free summer concert series at Rockwell Park. The concert, postponed from Tuesday because of rain, featured pop cover band Darik and the Fun Bags and was held Wednesday evening.

The concert series is held, typically, on Tuesday evenings.

The schedule is as follows: Funk band Mass-Conn-Fusion, June 29; Fleetwood Mac tribute band Fleetwood Macked, July 6; jazz and swing band Sugar, July 13; Southern Rock Screamin Eagle Band, July 20; Reggae band Profile, July 17; rhythm and soul band Soul Sound Revue, Aug. 3; pop/R&B/disco/blues band Latanya Farrell, Aug. 10.

Aside from the musical entertainment, food trucks are on site for a quick bite or meal.
