BCHS and BEHS make excellent finishes from the 2022 Middletown Invitational this past Saturday

MIDDLETOWN – Both the Bristol Central and Bristol Eastern boys and girls track and field programs took part of the 2022 Middletown Invitational on Saturday.

And the locals made some first place finishes along the way.

Central’s Victor Rosa dominated the 100 meters, coming in first place with a finish of 11.28 seconds and the 1600 meters, Frankie Porrini won the event in 4:22.14.

In the 4×400 relay, Central’s combination of Noah Conrod, Rosa, Frankie Porrini, and Jarrett Boxley won with a time of 3:34.41.

Boxley was the runner-up in the 110 hurdles (15.47 seconds) and nabbed third place in the 300 hurdles (43.33 seconds).

Also in the 300, Logan Jackson made a seventh place finish in 44.28 seconds.

Treshawn Blair took seventh place in the long jump (19 feet, 3.5 inches) while in the shot put, Malachi Jones earned seventh with a toss of 44 feet, three inches.

Conrod finished ninth in the 400 meters (53.66 seconds) and in the discus throw, Jones was at it again.

He made a toss of 120 feet, 4.5 inches – taking tenth place to round out a busy day on the boys side.

For the Central girls, the team’s 4×400 relay squad of Sophia Stark, Beccy Litwinczyk, Katie Tran, and Lynae Lewis finished in fourth place (4:26.16).

Destinee Craft earned fifth place in the long jump (16 feet, seven inches) and nabbed sixth place in the triple (33 feet, 9.5 inches).

And for the Lancers, Isaiah Lawrence-Bynum took eighth place in the triple jump (38 feet, 0.50 inches) while Logan Crowley finished the 3200 meters in seventh place in under ten minutes (9:58.93) for the boys.

The boys 4×400 meter team finished in fourth place while in girls action for the Kingstreeters, Mackenzie Fitzsimons won the javelin with a throw of 117 feet, two inches.
