St. Paul girls jump out to big early lead, coast to 54-40 win over Naugatuck

The Saint Paul girls are back on another win streak. They beat Wolcott in a barn-burner last Thursday, and on Saturday night, they added a less stressful win to their victory total for the season. The Falcons jumped on Naugatuck for a quick 17-7 advantage in the first period, led by 15 at halftime, and cruised from there to a 54-40 verdict over the Greyhounds.

Nadia Reimer and Izzy Leggett hit double figures for the Falcons, as Reimer pumped in 17 and Legett hit for 11 points. Sal Naples added 8 points to the ledger while shining on defense with 5 steals.

Kaylee Jackson led Naugutuck with 12 points scored.

With the win, St. Paul is now 11-3 on the year and travels to Watertown for a 7:00 matchup tonight.
