Melanie Ann (Jaynes) Pecevich, 80

Melanie Ann (Jaynes) Pecevich died peacefully on May 1. Melanie was born to Walter Russell and Blanche “Bunny” Jaynes on Jan. 28, 1943, in Worcester, Mass. She was a long-time Bristol resident, but lived in numerous places such as Brownsville, Texas, El Centro, Calif., Lindenhurst, N.J., and Putnam, Conn. She was employed at Kings Department Store, Richard Roberts Group and Visiting Nurses of New Britain. She eventually settled for private homecare. This was her most rewarding occupation.

She is survived by her son David, his wife Brenda of Bristol, their sons Mitchell, his wife Jess of Clinton, Conn., Devin, his wife Tiffany of Bristol and their boys Drew and Jett, Kyle and his fiancé Danielle Krout of Philadelphia; her son Dean and his wife Mara of Boca Raton, Fla., their daughters Marianna and Marissa; and her daughter Lisa Ouellette, husband Gerry, daughter Jessica, son Dylan his fiancé Abby Orn, and their son Luke, all from Bristol. 

She also leaves behind a sister Judy Crowne, husband Robert, and brother Russell Jaynes of Worcester, Mass., and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to her friends who have supported her physically and spiritually over the years.

The United Methodist Church of Plainville has graciously offered to host a memorial service on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m. This is open to family and friends.
