Scholarship available to students classified as legally blind or visually impaired

Bristol Lions Club/James J. Keating Scholarship Fund

accepting applications through June 3

The Main Street Community Foundation has issued the following press release.

Graduating high school seniors who are classified as legally blind or visually impaired and are residents of Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington or Wolcott are eligible for a new scholarship
recently established at Main Street Community Foundation. Applications for the Bristol Lions Club/James
J. Keating Scholarship Fund are being accepted through June 3; one $2,800 scholarship will be
awarded. To apply, visit the Foundation’s online application website at MSCFscholarships.communityforce.com and click on Bristol Lions Club/James J. Keating Scholarship
Fund.

The Bristol Lions Club/James J. Keating Scholarship Fund was established by the Bristol Lions Club in
2022 with a bequest previously received from the estate of Mark M. Keating. The scholarship honors the
memory of Mr. Keating’s father, James J. Keating.
