Ryan Patrick MacInnis, 41

Ryan Patrick MacInnis, 41, of Bristol, passed away on Thursday, June 22. He was born on Oct. 29, 1981, in Dayton, Ohio, son of Donald P. MacInnis of Florida and the late Janet (Ripa) MacInnis.

Ryan was the funniest person you could ever meet and his energy lit up a room. He was the co-author of a children’s book with his brother, Jameson, as well as an avid fisherman. His heart was bigger than most and his warmth will last on with us for eternity.

Ryan was an excellent athlete in his youth and was particularly known for his prowess in baseball and basketball in his hometown of East Haven.

Ryan spent much of his free time with his best friend, his brother, Jameson, and was also very close with his Dad, Don and his Stepmother, Pat.

Besides his father, Ryan is survived by his brother Jameson MacInnis of Bristol, step-mother Patricia MacInnis of Florida; close friend Karey (Fin) Eskedal of Branford; a pup niece Caroline, stepbrother Kevin Murphy (Katia) and stepsister Christine Murphy as well as a plethora of aunts, uncles, cousin, step-niece and step-nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 29, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave. Bristol from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A funeral will be held on Friday, June 30, starting at 9 a.m. at O’Brien Funeral Home until a procession that will go to St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol for a Memorial Mass at 10 a.m.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
