An effort to promote a Bristol Public Schools program addressing hate hit a bump as the signs prepared as part of the program mistranslated the slogan in the Arabic.
The signs that were posted Friday were removed immediately when the problem was identified.
“Hate has no home in our All-Heart city and BPS,” the signs read in English. Below the English are translations in Spanish, Arabic and Polish.
The Arabic translation is gibberish, according to sources that TBE consulted.
TBE will be following up this account with a more detailed report as soon as we hear from school administrators.
