St.Paul girls rally in 2nd half to defeat Oxford, 48-40

The St. Paul girls basketball team overcame a frigid shooting performance in the 1st half with a 19 point 3rd quarter, and rode the scoring of Audrey Tice and Nadia Reimer to a 48-40 victory over Oxford Friday night.

Tice led the Falcons with a 20 point night, including 4 treys from beyond the arc, and Reimer provided solid support with 10 points scored. The rest of the St. Paul team displayed good balance, as eight Falcons scored in the contest from The Oxford High School gym.

Kelsea Tefoe and Alexis Tierpack battled on the boards for 9 rebounds apiece for St. Paul.

Mikayla Walton was an unstoppable force for Oxford with a 24 point night.

With the win, St. Paul runs their record to 6-1. Oxford now stands at 4-4.

The Falcons return home on Tuesday to face Crosby of Waterbury. Game time is 7:00.
