The St. Paul girls traveled to Fairfield for the opener of the Fairfield Invitational on Tuesday, and dropped a tough one by the score of 47-37.
The Falcons got off to a frigid start with Ludlowe outscoring them 12-5 in the first period. They were competitive the rest of the contest but could never overcome the deficit they started with.
Audrey Tice did everything she could to keep St. Paul in the game with a 19 point performance, but her teammates were cold all evening, and she could not carry them over the top.
Haileigh Orzel and Rebecca Kelly scored 6 apiece for the Falcons.
Fairfield Ludlowe was led by Caitlyn Finnegan with 14, while Kaleigh Summers chipped in with 10.
