Bristol resident Raven Cody has been appointed youth and family coordinator, it was announced by the City of Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services (BPRYCS) Department recently.

“As a Bristol resident, I am excited to apply my education in social work along with my passion for working with youth and families to best serve our community,” said Cody in the release announcing her appointment.

”She is incredibly enthusiastic, outgoing and genuine,” said BPRYCS Superintendent Dr. Joshua Medeiros in the release.

Cody has worked with youth and families in a variety of roles over the past seven years including summer camp head counselor in Wolcott, substitute teacher and child welfare intern with the Department of Children and Families in New Britain.

The Bristol resident’s most recent work experience was a social work internship at Mountain View Elementary School where she facilitated group sessions and conducted case management.

Cody holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from Central Connecticut State University as well as a master’s degree in social work from Southern Connecticut State University.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
