April continued to see Bristol schools, businesses, city offices and recreation facilities closed.  Meanwhile, gas prices continued their decline and some store shelves were periodically vacant.  The Bristol Hospital limited the number of tests kits that were available for the public to 40 a day, and vehicles lined up early for the drive thru testing.

All was not bad, however. A program coordinated through Bristol Hospital saw volunteers making gowns from templates found online for use at the hospital. Some restaurants continued operating, providing take-out, for customers. Messages of gratitude appeared in front lawns and buildings through the city. Lastly, spring began to show itself.
