Lois (Park) Conrod, 95

Lois (Park) Conrod, 95, of Bristol, widow of Ernest P. Conrod, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, at Bristol Hospital.  

Lois was born in Albany, N.Y., on May 12, 1928, and was one of two daughters of the late Paul A. Mark MD and Margaret (Taylor) Park.  

She was raised in Bristol graduating from St. Ann Grammar School and Bristol High School. She attended nursing school and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Bristol Hospital for 23 years before retiring. She worked in different departments at the hospital but was most fond of her time on the maternity floor.

A parishioner of St. Joseph Church, Bristol, she enjoyed going to the beach, crossword puzzles, and watching her game shows.  

Lois is survived by two children: Deborah Ouellette of Winsted, and Paul Conrod and wife, Lisa of Cowansville, Pa.; six grandchildren: Corey, Tara, Jesse, Megan, Jordan Conrod, and Christina Ouellette; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ernest “Ricky” Conrod, Jr., and her sister, Janice Parks.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours.
