Donald H. Stoltz, 79

Donald H. Stoltz, 79, of Bristol, beloved husband of Judith (Baldwin) Stoltz, died on Saturday (September 23, 2023) at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford. 

Don was born on April 25,1944 in Middletown, N.Y., and was a son of the late Stanley and Jean (Wronowski) Stoltz. He was raised and graduated high school in Middletown, N.Y., before he enlisted to serve in the United States Air Force in 1963.

After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he settled in Bristol and went to work in the Aerospace Industry. He worked for Fredericks Manufacturing in Farmington then Fenn Manufacturing in Newington.  He also did work in his later years for Sikorsky Aircraft teaching his skills here and in Japan.

He enjoyed playing golf in his earlier years, traveling, watching sports, especially the Red Sox, and trying new restaurants with his wife, Judy.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Don is survived by two children: Julie Lovley of Southington, and Christopher Stoltz and wife, Colby of Granby; a brother: Robert Stoltz and his wife, Lori of Naples, Fla.; sister-in-law: Grace Stoltz of Middletown, N.Y.; four grandchildren: Taylor Carpenter, Alyssa Lovley, Lilly Stoltz, and Callie Custer; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother: Stanley Stoltz, and two sisters: Deborah Kurzejewski, and Joan Arciero.

A private entombment will take place in the State of Connecticut Veteran’s Cemetery, Middletown. There are no calling hours. Funk Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.
