Mary L. Stokosa, 74

Mary L. Stokosa, 74, of Bellevue, Neb., formerly of Bristol, died on Thursday, Dec. 7. Mary was born in Bristol on June 2, 1949, and was one of three daughters of the late Louis and Alice (Belisle) Stokosa.  

She was a longtime Bristol resident where she graduated from Bristol Central High School and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She worked for the Associated Spring Division of Barnes Group until her retirement. 

She was formerly an active member of the Jaycees and enjoyed doing yard work and collecting post cards. She volunteered at the Bristol Carousel Museum, Witches Dungeon, the Bristol Historical Society, and the Barnes Nature Center.  

Mary is survived by her sister: Teresa Lockner of Bellevue, Neb.; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister: Katherine Galli.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursdayf, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 510 West Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
