BEHS girls lacrosse a winner once again, spinning Windsor on Thursday in 16-0 romp

By Michael Letendre

BRISTOL – The Bristol Eastern girls lacrosse program made it two in a row on Thursday afternoon, booting overwhelmed Windsor by a 16-0 final.

The CCC South bout, played from the turf at Alumni Field in Bristol, propelled the Lancers to 9-4 overall.

On both sides of the ball, the Lancers did not allow the Warriors any slack on the field.

Eight different players notched goals for the home team.

Vanessa Drury led all players with five goals while Kenzie Aparo exploded for four.

Emma Stavens also tallied multiple goals while sharing the ball with her teammates for slick shooting opportunities.

Stavens scooped up two goals and dished out three assists over the winning effort.

Also on the scoring front was Sarah Hartley, Taigan Parent, Kate Patterson and Carolyn Wilson who all contributed a goal to the winning effort.

And even Jayna Hatcher got into the scoring column, nabbing a goal to complete the sweep against overwhelmed Windsor.

The regular season concludes this coming week with three exciting bouts.

It’s three matches in a row, starting with a battle against Wethersfield on Tuesday.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
