Good morning, Bristol

Good morning, Bristol, and welcome to Tuesday!

We will be flying at an altitude of 35,000 ft. The inflight movie is Lost, and you can roam about the cabin once the captain turns off the seatbelt sign.

The TBE Crosswalk Patrol

Monday, The TBE Crosswalk Patrol was tipped off about the crosswalk to Mountain View School. Between the cracks, frost heave, asphalt patching, crack sealing, and wear and tear, it could use some TLC. In due time, no doubt.

Based on its current condition, this “zebra crossing” will not be used as the setting for a monumental rock album cover.

Need Something to do today?

Today, if you are looking for something to do, Bristol Library is a good destination. In addition to all the books, computer stations, and music, they are screening Death on the Nile at 2 PM. It stars Kenneth Branagh and Annette Bening.

RSVP: at the library, on bristollib.com, or by calling: 860-584-7787 x 3.

Answer To Monday’s Obscure Bristol Trivia Question

Hugh L. Dill was Ivy Driver’s School’s first principal. Before arriving at Ivy Drive, Mr. Dill was the principal at Edgewood School and the Assistant Superintendent of Bristol schools.

He graduated from Kalamazoo College in Michigan with a B.S. in business and later earned his M.A.

In the words of famed Yankees radio voice Mel Allen, “How about that?”

Good morning. Bristol returns Thursday. Until then…

P.S. Attention: The captain has turned off the seatbelt sign, and you are free to roam about the cabin and have a great day.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have no limits.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
