2021 Fall Men’s Softball League champions crowned

The City of Bristol’s Department of Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Service’s (BPRYCS) Fall 2021 Men’s Softball Leagues recently concluded. Despite an unnaturally rainy autumn, both the Men’s 18+ and 40-And-Over leagues were able to complete a full season, including playoffs, to determine the league champions.
BPRYCS Softball League Director, Shawn Mirmina, reported that the Men’s 18+ Softball League saw a new champion crowned for the first time in three seasons, as Team Davis defeated previous league champions Sporty’s Cafe in the finals.

Mirmina also noted the league expanded to ten teams this fall, welcoming four new teams with the hope to further expand in future seasons.

The Men’s 40-and Over Softball League also saw growth welcoming two new teams this season. The two new teams, Spartans II and Factory Athletics, joined the four teams that have been around since the formation of the league in 2019. Spartans II took home the league championship after an undefeated regular season, outlasting Factory Athletics in the single-elimination playoff bracket.
