Bristol Eastern girls lacrosse gets beaten by a polished Conard team, 14-2

The Bristol Eastern girls hit the road against Conard Tuesday and got a clinic on offensive movement and defensive discipline.

The Conard team came into the game with a record of 2-1 with wins over a strong Southington team and a 15-0 win over EO Smith. Their only defeat was a 1 goal loss to Newtown.

The Lancers quickly found themselves in a deficit of seven goals at the end of the first and that grew to twelve by the half.

At the end of three periods it was 14-1 as BE finally got on the board with a goal by Emma Stavens.

Stavens picked up an additional goal in the fourth period and that wrapped up the scoring in 14-2 final.

The Lady Lancers have another tough road game on Thursday vs Bethel.

Through the first six games of the 2024 campaign the Eastern has been led led by Emma Stavens with 31 goals and is sitting at 198 for her high school career.

Harper Dauphinee and Vanessa Drury each have 12 goals (129 career goals for Drury).
