Police arrest woman for multiple thefts in local stores

Bristol police reported on Friday that they arrested on woman on several robbery counts.

During the month of March, a local business along Route 6 was experiencing a large number of high price thefts, nearing $5,000 in one month. Police line and staff officers, as well as members of the detective division, worked together with the business to set up a surveillance operation to try and catch the suspect in the act.

At 1:00 p.m. a female entered the store and proceeded to utilize her method of concealment before leaving the store merely seconds later without paying for the items, valued at nearly $500.00.

As she was concealing the high value items, officers and detectives moved in behind her. As she attempted to flee the store, she ran into an officer’s arms and was arrested for this theft.

As officers checked her for warrants, it was discovered she was wanted by several agencies for multiple Larcenies, multiple Failure to Appear charges for past thefts and Robbery in the First Degree. She also had many charges of Engaging Police in Pursuit.


Jaime Gerry, age 33 of no certain address, was arrested for these charges and is being held on a total of $335,000.00.
