Blues will host ‘Fireworks Night’ on Saturday

The Bristol Blues will be lighting up the sky at Muzzy Field with a fireworks display sponsored by the City of Bristol. Community Outreach Director Sarah Lucian is excited for what she calls “Muzzy Magic.”

The evening is one of several special Bristol Blues’ fan nights set for July.

“We just won the western division championship, and we get to celebrate with fireworks. It’s going to be a great night for people of all ages to just have fun and root for the Blues.”

Lucian said that anyone can join the crowd for free after the sixth inning, and the fireworks will begin 15 minutes after the end of the game.

The Blues (25-9) have three additional promo nights which will take place during the final home games of the regular season.

Holiday cheer will come to Muzzy Field on Wednesday as they celebrate “Christmas in July.”

“I’m excited for the kids that’ll be at the stadium because Santa’s coming!” said Lucian. “We’re doing giveaways for the first 50 fans and it’s going to be a blast.”

Bristol Blues ornaments will be available for sale, and festive decorations will be seen around the stadium.

Fans can celebrate “Thirsty Thursday” on July 21. “We’ve got $3 light beers and designated drivers will receive free admission.” The organization partnered with Bristol’s Firefly Hollow Brewery and Two Toads Brewing in Stratford who will be giving out free samples.

Fan appreciation night will be held on July 29 with giveaways and surprises for fans. Bell City Barber Shop will be offering free haircuts for the first 10 kids in attendance. Fan appreciation night marks the final home game of the season, but the champion Blues will be back in action for the postseason.

“We’ll be hosting between three to five home games during the playoffs in August. It’s been a great year for us; The Blues don’t lose!”
