Bristol police arrest man on multiple drug and weapons charges

The Bristol Police Department reports that on Monday, September 27, 2021 at approximately 1 p.m., the police conducted a motor vehicle stop on King Street in Bristol. The operator was identified as Lucas Caperton, age 40.

During the stop, probable cause was developed to search the vehicle.

Police located and seized two “bundles” of suspected Fentanyl, 7 grams of crack cocaine, 7 grams of powder cocaine, a loaded 9 mm handgun, and a large sum of currency used in the exchange of drug sales.

Caperton was arrested and charged with Failure to Drive Right, Sale of Narcotics, Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd offense), Carrying a Pistol without a Permit, and Criminal Possession of a Pistol, and Possession of a Weapon in a Motor Vehicle.

Caperton posted $150,000 surety bond and was issued a 10/12/2021 court date.
