Between 200 and 300 protesters, walking along side Bristol police officers, chanted “black lives matter” and “no justice, no peace,” marched down North Main St., and, then, listened to speakers, including the police chief, a councilman and the mayor.

The group gathered by the Ice Cream Churn and marched past city hall and the police station down to the fire station on the corner of Center and North Main streets chanting and waving signs. Marchers and police mingled as they walked, maintaining a respectful and peaceful atmosphere.

At the fire station, the marchers turned around and marched back to the area by the Ice Cream Churn, where they gathered to listen to speakers, including Police Chief Brian Gould, Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, City Councilman Scott Rosado and individual protesters.

Daneirys Rivera, Faith Fenty and Brandy Kariel organized the march.
