City council meets this evening at Board of Education Auditorium

The regular meeting of the City Council will be held this evening immediately following the Joint Board in the Board of Education Auditorium on Church Street.

Among the items for business include adding a part-time Accounting Clerk and authorizing action to obtain permits for the construction of the Hope Street parking garage. Click here for the agenda.

The Joint meeting of the Finance Board and City Council will be held at 6:45 p.m.

Among the items for business is an allocation of $1.5 million from the American Rescue Fund to the Centre Square Parking garage structure, which was approved at the April Board of Finance meeting and referred to Joint Board for final approval. Click here for the agenda.

At 6:30 p.m., the Finance Board will meet briefly to vote on a $500,000 allocation for design of the construction of a bridge on Mellen Street. The cost of the bridge is covered by the Federal Aid Bridge program in the area of $2 million.
