City hall, transfer station to close for Veterans Day

City hall and the Bristol transfer station will be closed on Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day, it was announced on the Public Works website. There will be no curbside collections (rubbish, recycle, yard waste) on Friday, Nov. 10. Friday collections will be completed Saturday, Nov. 11. Monday-Thursday routes, Nov. 6 through Nov. 9, will take place on their normal days. 

The transfer station will be open and operating regular hours, 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 11.

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.                

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.                
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.                
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
