Democratic and Republican primaries Tuesday

Polling sites will be open in Bristol on Tuesday for those who choose to vote in person.

To find out where to vote there are two choices: 1. call the Registrars of Voters Office at (860) 584 6165 or 2. log on to Connecticut Voter Location Lookup.

Primaries are being held in both the Democratic and Republican parties. Candidates on the ballots are as follows:

​ Democrats for Office of President

​• Joe Biden
​ • Bernie Sanders
​ • Tulsi Gabbard

​ Republicans for Office of President

​• Donald Trump
​• Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente

​Republicans for 1st Congressional District

​• Mary Fay
​• James Griffin

All polling sites in Bristol will be enforcing the state’s “Safe Polls Plan,” according to the Registrar of Voters page on the official City of Bristol website.

The “Safe Polls Plan” calls for the following protocols:

​• Gloves and masks will be worn by all poll workers;
​• Gloves to be offered to every voter upon entering;
​• Contactless ID verification;
​• 6’ social distance markers for check-in;
​• One way flow through polling location;
​• Voters will be encouraged to bring and use their own blue or black pen to mark the ballot; and
​• Continual sanitization of all surfaces, marking pens and privacy booths.

​ The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
