Bristol Park Department crowns 2022 Men’s Spring Softball League Champions

Bristol Parks, Recreation, Youth and Community Services recently announced the champions of its 2022 Men’s Spring Softball Leagues: Fancy Bagels & the Kookies.

The 3-seeded Fancy Bagels claimed the Men’s 40-and-Over Spring League championship, winning all three of their games in the single-elimination playoff tournament.

The top-seeded Kookies, who went 17-1 in the regular season, claimed the Men’s 18+ Spring League championship.

“Both leagues are looking forward to another exciting fall season,” League Director Shawn Mirmina said. “Many of the same teams will be returning, and we always look forward to welcoming new teams to join the league.”

The Fall Softball League is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks, with the Men’s 18+ Weeknight League scheduled to run from August 8-October 28, and the Men’s 40-and-Over League scheduled to run from July 31-November 6.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access five (5) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access five (5) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have no limits.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
