Ronald D. York, Sr., 78, of Bristol, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Village Green of Bristol. He was the husband of Susan (Desmarais) York who left his side in 2019.

Ronald was born on Nov. 11, 1942 in Smyrna Mills, Maine, to the late Cliasta (Shaw) and Edwin York. Ronald is survived by his son Ronald D. York, Jr. and his wife Jodi of Bristol; his two daughters Melissa Averso of Wolcott and Charlene Mullaney of Bristol; his sister Kaylene Lundstrom; his brothers Victor and Peter York; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

The visiting hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, who has the honor of serving Ronald’s family.

A funeral home service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday morning, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow with Military Honors at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
