Norman D. Martineau, 92

Norman D. Martineau, 92, of Bristol, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 9. He was born on June 23, 1931, in Kensington, son of the late Delphis and Rosa (Lafond) Martineau.

Norman was the loving husband of his late wife Dorothy E. (Rozum) Martineau. He served our Country in the US Army, 101st Airborne Division. Later he worked at Black and Decker for over 45 years as a Process Engineer. Norman was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the NY Yankees, NY Giants, UCONN men’s and woman’s basketball, softball and baseball teams. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Norman was a great father, grandfather and friend always willing to lend a helping hand to any one in need.

Norman is survived by his sons Robert Martineau of Bristol, John Martineau and his wife Vernelly of Watertown; grandchildren Rachel Martineau of Massachusetts, Sarah Martineau of MER, Chad Martineau and his wife Kate of Harwinton, Jared Martineau and his wife Gina of Bristol, Bryant Martineau and his wife Jessica of Bristol; grandchildren Emma, Lilly, Brooke, Noah, Drew and Landon.

Besides his wife and parents, he is predeceased by his sister Florence Zeh and daughter-in-law Karen Martineau.

Services were held privately.
