Locally grown produce, specialty baked goods, coffee and craft spirits are coming to Centre Square this Saturday for opening day of the 2023 Bristol Farmer’s Market.

“The Bristol Rotary Club is happy to be able to keep the Farmers Market downtown while construction continues at Centre Square,” said Jim Albert, Rotarian and former club president.

“We are very grateful and appreciate the partnership between the Rotary Club of Bristol, City of Bristol and Bristol Health that allows the Farmers Market to continue to be accessible to everyone in the community in this centrally located downtown area.”

The 2023 farmer’s market is managed by the Bristol Rotary Club as a fundraiser for a variety of community service events and programs hosted by area non-profits. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to enter a weekly raffle to win items donated by the vendors. No purchase is necessary. Raffle tickets ar available at the Rotary Club tent.

The Bristol Farmer’s Market will be held weekly on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 17, through Oct. 14, at the Bristol Health Medical Care Center’s parking lot, 15 Riverside Ave. at Centre Square in downtown Bristol. Parking and entrance to the market will be accessible from Hope Street.

Local vendors will be offering a wide variety of products including fresh produce, sweet treats, coffee and craft spirits, candles and other locally produced consumable products.

The Bristol Farmers Market is an authorized SNAP/EBT Farmers Market and is recognized by the Connecticut Department of Agriculture as accepting payment vouchers from the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Farmers Market Nutrition Program and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The participating local vendors are Gresczyk Farms, Twin Pines Farm, and Tonn’s Orchard.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
