Howdy, Bristol!

Welcome to Monday, Oct 3. We are glad you are here, so enjoy your stay. !

Weather

Today’s weather, 58 degrees and party sunny or partly cloudy, depending on your definition.

The Weekend

What a weekend, eh folks? Farmers Market, Lantern Tour and the Duck Race! Mmm-mm, Finger Lickin’ Good!

Lantern Tour

Friday and Sunday (rained out Saturday) the Lantern Tour at West Cemetery was back after a hiatus, and it was fantastic. Mrs. Peck and Mrs. Muzzy were elegant as always.

Speaking of the dead, the Red Sox season is mercifully coming to an end.

They were given the last rights in May and have been on life support ever since.

Celebrity Spotting

Saturday, the mayor was at the Farmers Market shaking hands, saying hello and peacocking.

On the Agenda

Three meetings on tap today:

  • Business Subcommittee
  • American Rescue Plan Task Force
  • City Cemetery Commission

Scoreboard denier

Yesterday’s, NFL scoreboard claimed the Jets beat the Steelers 20-17. The Jets won? No way. Clearly, the scoreboard stole the game from the Steelers. There is no evidence and there is no proof, but everyone was in on it. The Steelers won 17-20.

Out of here

Mind your P’s and Q’s, Bristol, and we will see you here tomorrow.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
