BRISTOL – The Bristol Central girls track and field team made some gains against the program from Maloney in a CCC South meet on Wednesday.

And while the Rams dropped a tough 86-60 decision from the track and field at Bristol Central, the home team made a few first places tallies  here and there.

Central’s Destinee Craft won the long jump with a leap of 15 feet and a-half-an-inch while teammate Kaiya Yuschak netted a six-foot, six inch make in the pole vault to win the event.

Rebecca Litwinczyk was tremendous in the 200 meters, taking victory in 27.3 seconds.

And in the 4×400 relay, the team from Bristol Central was able to snare the win away from the Spartans.

The combination of Litwinczyk, Katie Tran, Francesca Amara, and Lynae Lewis finished in 4:38 for the win.

Central is back in action next Tuesday on the road against Plainville.

The event takes place at 3:45 from Tinty Track and Field in Plainville.
