Bristol Co-Op Swim Team defeats Avon Wednesday

The Bristol Co-Op Boys Swimming and Diving team picked up a win against Avon on Wednesday January 12 during their first home meet of the season with a score of 96-89 at the Dennis Malone Aquatic Center. 

Bristol, made up of Bristol Central, Bristol Eastern and St. Paul won eight of the twelve events, starting with the medley relay made up of Davis Kroll, Nathan Stellmach, Mikel Palaj and Aidan Collins with a time of 1:42.96.

Palaj also came in first in the 200 Individual Medley (1:58.88) and the 500 freestyle (4:51.42) and the 400 freestyle relay team (3:33.56) with teammates Aidan Collins, Nathan Stellmach, and Davis Kroll.

Stellmach earned two first place finishes in the 50 freestyle (23.25) and the 100 breaststroke (1:01.63) while Kroll finished first in the 100 fly (1:00.31) and the 100 back (59.03). 

Collins came in second in the 50 freestyle (24.33) and third in the 500 freestyle (5:38.83).

Thomas Masotti finished second in the 100 fly (1:03.03), while Noah Taylor finished second in the 100 free (54.56). 

Bristol’s Record is now 2-0.
