ENFIELD – The Bristol Lacrosse coop bounced back nicely off its tough 9-8 loss to Lewis Mills on Monday, snaring a huge 14-6 triumph at Enfield on Friday evening over a CCC South entanglement.

The squad is now 5-1 this year, sweeping the season series away from Enfield.

Bristol led 3-0 after one period, 6-3 by the half and then outscored the Eagles 5-0 in the third to snare an 11-3 cushion with twelve minutes remaining in the showdown.

Brady Bell and Chase Dauphinee each chipped in three goals to pace the offensive attack for Bristol.

Aiden Collins and Ian Reardon had two goals apiece, but the offense came from different spots in the lineup as well.

Braydan Dryer collected two goals while Zach Harmon and Dylan Brown – who scooped up an impressive 11 ground balls – also added a goal to the winning effort.

Jack Hartley and Jake Warszawik each nabbed four ground balls – as did Collins – while the grouping of Ryan Spina, Matteo DiMarco, Reardon, Collins, Dauphinee, Hartley and Warszawik all tallied an assist to the winning effort.

In the net, Max Stavens wasn’t so busy over first period play but still ended the contest with six saves while backup Nick Martino added three.

This coming week

Bristol is back in action on Monday against Wethersfield in a CCC South attraction at 3:45 p.m. from Alumni Field on the campus of Bristol Eastern High School.

That’s followed by a home date against Windsor on Thursday (3:45 p.m.) and on May 2, the squad from King Street battles out of conference opponent Suffield-Windsor Locks in Bristol, starting at 6 p.m.

Sweeping Enfield

The Bristol coop ended up earning both victories against Enfield this season, outscoring the program 24-6.

Stavens and the defense have yet to yield a double-figure goal tally this season as Mills (nine goals) just missed that feat last Monday.

Last year, the Eastern defense was nearly up to the task, allowing teams to score 12-plus goals on four occasions.
