MERIDEN – Bristol Central’s girls track and field program had several athletes perform well at Maloney in a CCC South attraction on Tuesday afternoon but by the completion of the meet, the Spartans were able to wrangle up a 94-55 decision in Meriden to stave off Central in the end.

The Rams won five events that day which included victories in the 4×100 and 4×400 (4:19) meter relays.

Central also had success in the 400 meter race as Lynae Lewis nabbed first place with a finish of 1:01.8.
In the long jump, Kylee Barnes successfully cleared 16 feet, four inches while the pole vault event saw Rayiah Reinhard nab the win with a make of seven feet even.

Looking to get back to its winning ways, Central battles Plainville next Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. from the track and field at BCHS in a CCC South tilt.

The meet commences at 3:45 p.m.
